An Antique 19th Century Russian GARDNER PORCELAIN Bowl.
Gardner Porcelain Factory (Verbilky, Moscow): circa 1880.
This beautiful porcelain bowl is from the highly collectable Imperial Russian porcelain production of the 19th Century and is an original GARDNER FACTORY Porcelain. Gardner Porcelain Factory was one of the most superior and excellent manufacturers of fine porcelain between 1766 - 1892 Russia. Their production matched those of the best Western European competitors of the time and this piece's beauty reflects that clearly.
This piece was made around 1880 and was completely hand painted. On each side there are beautiful floral repertoires consisting of a large pink rose and a red rose, surrounded with irises and blossoming buds. The central colour of the piece is Sky Blue and this contrasts wonderfully with the the floral repertoire. All is hand painted and decorated.
The diameter of the piece is 18.5 cm (7.4 inches) and the its stands 8.5cm (3.4 inches) tall. The condition of this piece is EXCELLENT and ORIGINAL with NO restoration, NO chips, NO cracks and NO hairlines. SEE PICTURES BELOW
Gardner Factory Mark is on the bottom and consists of Imperial Eagle and the word Factory Gardner and Moscow. Underneath the Factory mark the word 'Gardner' is written in Farsi. This is because by around mid 19th Century Gardner Factory was so prestigious that they were commissioned by Central Asian Monarchies and Elite (possible Bukhara Sultanate) to produce Porcelain for them.
